Nneoma Johnson-Chukwu serves as the founding MD/CEO of Virgin Forest Energy Limited. Her leadership has been pivotal in establishing the company's operational infrastructure and business framework. Following her national service, she transitioned to the private sector as Chief Operating Officer of Virgin Forest Investment Limited, which operated in real estate, securities, and telecommunications. She gained recognition as an exceptional marketer, particularly for introducing telecom products during Nigeria's early GSM expansion. Under her stewardship, the parent company expanded into Oil & Gas, launching Virgin Forest Energy in 2010. The company has since become a significant downstream sector player, operating a Tank Farm in Oron, Akwa Ibom State, and retail outlets nationwide. Johnson-Chukwu expanded operations upstream when the firm won a marginal oil field award during the 2020 Federal Government bid round, historically dominated by international investors. She now serves on the boards of Virgin Forest Exploration & Production Limited and BIME Exploration & Production Limited. An education advocate, she holds a degree in English/Literature from Abia State University and attended Lagos Business School. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and Women in Energy Network.
